Al Meyers received many awards from, among others, the Exp erimental Aircraft Association, and the OX-5 Aviation Pioneers Club. He was inducted into the OX-5 Pioneer Aviation Hall of Fame in 1974. In 1985, Al Meyers was designated Airman of the Year by the National Committee of the Yankee Air Force, Willow Run Airport.
